It's the May long weekend and I went to Prince George, British Columbia with my mother to visit her sister who has breast cancer and was in the hospital Thursday for a mastectomy. My aunt is out and doing well, but we won't know for sure if the cancer is all gone until a later time. Since my mom is into photography as well we decided to stop a few times to take some pictures, so our 8 hour road trip turned into a 10 hour road trip. About 20 minutes before getting to PG, I spotted a bald eagle and made a quick U-turn in the middle of the highway. Good thing there wasn't any traffic! I quickly pulled out my 70-200mm, f2.8 zoom lens and camera and had to get a few shots. This was the first time I've ever seen a bald eagle in the wild, and I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to get this majestic bird on camera.
